About my work

To me, jewellery functions as both adornment and talisman, and holds memories and meaning. I design and make statement jewellery and accessories that will last. Each piece has a bit of ‘heft’, a pleasing weight, and tactile curves and textures. I use a mixture of metals, but mainly silver.

I want my jewellery to be a lasting pleasure to wear, and my accessories to be beautiful, useful and playful keepsakes.

Making things from silver is when I experience that elusive and slightly addictive ‘flow’. The whole process is one of unseen movement.

Why sweetsilversong?

I come from Liverpool, and as Rodgers & Hammerstein and then Gerry & The Pacemakers put it…
